This Magic Stand Makes Your Smartphone Levitate, Sort Of

When the iPhone first made its debut back in 2007, for some users Apple's device seemed to inject a huge dose of magic into the mobile phone industry.

Now a new accessory compliments that feeling of magic that some still feel for the device by offering an iPhone stand that makes your smartphone look like it's levitating.

Developed by inventor John Stessel, in partnership with New Jersey-based Martinka, one of the oldest magic shops in the U.S., the Magic Phone Stand really does make your phone look like it's floating in mid-air.

In addition to serving as an amazing conversation piece the stand is also a fully functional charging station, allowing you to keep your iPhone "levitating" indefinitely while onlookers wonder what demon magic you're using to make it happen.



The device was posted to Kickstarter roughly two weeks ago and has already snagged over $6,000 of its $8,000 goal.

Offered in black and white, the stand is available for the iPhone 5/5S/5C, the iPhone 4/4S and Android smartphones using a micro USB connector for $24 and is scheduled to ship to early supporters in September.
